International
conference on
Mediterranean
Marine Protected Areas
Integrated Management as a Response to Ecosystem Threats
MMMPA
project final conference
in connection with CIESM
Committee VI (Coastal Ecosystems and Marine Policy)
Ancona,
Italy
15
- 17 October, 2015
The final conference of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Initial Training Network Monitoring Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas (MMMPA) will be jointly organised in collaboration with the CIESM
Committee IV (Coastal Ecosystems and Marine Policy).
This is a unique opportunity to create synergies between young and established researchers as well as with stakeholders, opening a discussion about the actual needs of MPAs' managers and decision makers while proposing innovative approaches at local, national and regional level (e.g. Marine Peace Parks) to meet such needs.
The conference will highlight the promises and showcase the outcomes of high-profile international research initiatives, promoting the uptake of results and paving the way for future collaborations.
